Sarah is behind the camera capturing still moments, Aaron brings them to life through film. Together, we tell stories the way they felt, honest, unforced and full of life.
We’re raising two wildlings on the Mornington Peninsula, where most of our days are spent outdoors, at the beach, in the bush, chasing light and letting the kids run free. Being surrounded by this kind of natural beauty isn’t something we take lightly. It shapes how we live, how we work, and what we care about.
Good Folk Studio was built from a love of real moments, the kind you don’t have to pose or perfect. The wind in your hair, sandy feet, loud laughs, quiet in-betweens. Whether it’s families, couples or brands, we’re here to capture what’s true to you, not a version of you that’s been styled to fit a trend.
Our approach is laid-back and unobtrusive. We won’t over-direct or turn your session into a production. Instead, we create space for things to unfold naturally, so what you get back actually feels like your life, your love, your story.
Sustainability isn’t a buzzword for us, it’s part of how we live and how we run our business. We’re committed to making conscious choices wherever we can, from the way we travel and shoot, to the brands we align with and the impact we leave behind. We follow a “leave no trace” mindset in everything we do, respecting the land we work on, treading lightly, and teaching our kids to do the same.
