We’re Sarah & Aaron, the husband and wife team behind Good Folk Studio, based on the Mornington Peninsula. Sarah captures honest, sun-soaked moments through family photography, couples and brand photography, while Aaron brings stories to life through relaxed, cinematic brand videography. Together, we create natural, story-led photo and video for families, couples and brands who want something real, not over-posed or over-produced.

Our Ethics & AI

While we understand that our family photography relies on potential clients seeing our work we don’t believe in posting children’s faces online. With the way the internet is changing and the way AI is taking over we are no longer comfortable posting children’s photos online. We will be removing posts and adjusting our website accordingly.

Summer Mini Sessions.

These Summer mini sessions will be my last mini sessions for 2026. These sessions will be held between Capel Sound and Tootgarook beach.

No stiff posing, just real smiles and belly laughs. No pressure to behave perfectly. These sessions are about capturing the joy, freedom and togetherness of your family exactly as you are, capturing your connection in an authentic and honest way.

Our work is laid-back, coastal and true to life. Whether it’s family photography on the Mornington Peninsula, brand photography for small businesses, or product photography and video that actually connects, we focus on capturing things as they feel. The in-between moments, the movement, the personality, the kind of imagery that reflects who you are and what you do, in a way that feels effortless and genuine.

We’re raising two wildlings here on the Peninsula, surrounded by the nature we’re so grateful for, and that shapes everything we do. We’re committed to running a low-impact, eco-conscious business, following a “leave no trace” approach in our sessions and choosing sustainable, eco-friendly practices wherever we can. For us, it’s about creating beautiful work while caring for the places we shoot in and the people we work with, good stories, told well, with intention.
